Tension type is defined as having C7-T3 mobility greater than 61.8%.
Relationship to different symptoms
- Low back pain: More frequent if T3-5 values are low or below the lower quartile
- Dizziness: If T2-3 value is above upper quartile in a "pyramid shape"
- Disc herniation C7 or C8: Consider disc herniation if C7-T1 is larger than 22.8
- Arrhythmias/Heart pain: If T3-4 is low and T4-5 is high or above the upper quartile
- GERD symptoms: More frequent among tension type even when not overweight
